Business phones, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365 and managed IT for UK office-based businesses — from one team.
Most office-based SMEs between 5 and 100 staff juggle four or five suppliers: a phone company, a broadband provider, an IT support firm, someone for Microsoft 365 licences and a security installer. When something breaks, they blame each other. Atom IP deliver the whole stack — cloud phone systems, business broadband and leased lines, structured cabling and Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365, managed IT support and CCTV — under one accountable team, one monthly bill and one named engineer who knows your office.
The problems this sector actually has.
Not a generic technology pitch — the specific patterns we see in Offices every week.
Five suppliers, nobody accountable
The phones drop and the phone company blames the broadband. The broadband provider blames the router, which the IT firm installed. Meanwhile your team cannot take calls. Ownership is the product.
Hybrid working stretched a system built for desks
Half the team is at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Deskphones sit unanswered while calls are forwarded to personal mobiles with no recording, no reporting and no business identity.
Office moves and fit-outs go wrong
A new office needs lines ordered with 60–90 days of lead time, cabling before the desks arrive, Wi-Fi surveyed before the walls go up and numbers ported on the right day. Miss any of those and the first week is chaos.
Cyber Essentials and insurance questions
Insurers and larger customers increasingly ask for Cyber Essentials, MFA everywhere and documented backups. Most SMEs have some of it, patchily, with no one owning the answer.
Nobody reviews the bills
Legacy line rental, forgotten add-ons, out-of-contract broadband at the rack rate and equipment finance rolled into service charges. It adds up quietly, year after year.
Phones, broadband and CCTV — designed as one system.
Most providers deliver these separately. In Offices, that's where the problems start. Under one team, everything is designed to work with everything else.

How it plays out.
Anonymised, illustrative of the kind of Offices business we work with every month.
Typical deployment: 35-person professional services firm moving office
Consultancy relocating to a larger office across town with a twelve-week window. Existing set-up: legacy phone system with a separate broadband provider, an IT firm that only does laptops, Microsoft 365 licences bought directly, and a security installer for the alarm. Hybrid team with no consistent way of taking calls at home.
Leased line ordered on day one to beat the lead time, with FTTP and 4G failover as interim and backup. Wi-Fi surveyed on the empty floorplate and cabling installed before the furniture arrives. Cloud phone system rolled out with Teams calling for consultants and a reception console for front of house; numbers ported on move day with the old office forwarding for the overlap. Microsoft 365 tenancy brought under management with MFA, device policies and backup. One bill, one support number, and a written office-move runbook the firm can reuse next time.
The differences you'll feel in offices.
Same technology on paper. Very different experience in practice.
The tools your team already uses.
Click-to-dial, screen-pop, call outcomes and AI call summaries flow into the systems you already run.
Common questions from offices.
Can our phone system run inside Microsoft Teams?
Yes. We can deliver calling inside Teams for the people who live in it, alongside deskphones or a reception console for front of house, all on the same numbers and call plan.
How far ahead should we plan an office move?
Ideally twelve weeks. Leased lines can take 60–90 working days to install, and cabling and Wi-Fi need to happen before the furniture goes in. We manage the timeline and provide interim connectivity if the line slips.
Do we have to move IT support to you as well as phones?
No. Many customers start with phones and connectivity and add managed IT later. That said, having one team responsible for the network, the phones and the devices is where most of the "no more blame" benefit comes from.
Can you help us achieve Cyber Essentials?
Yes. We bring the Microsoft 365 tenancy, devices, firewall and backups up to the Cyber Essentials baseline and prepare the evidence for certification.
